There will be a Senior Class meeting on Monday, Oct. 17th, during 2nd period with the Josten's Representative. This is the annual meeting where he goes over the ordering of graduation supplies (caps, gowns, announcements, senior memory items…) We hope to have the meeting in the Auditorium if the lighting in the auditorium has been repaired by that time. The exact location will be announced the week prior to the meeting once we determine the Auditorium's status. If we can't have it in the Auditorium it would have to be held in the gym.

The School Advisory Council (SAC) voted to change the Valedictorian/Salutatorian and Honor Grad procedure effective with next year's 9th graders only.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be determined by weighted GPA starting with the class of 2009.  This will coincide with our phasing in of the Cambridge diploma and our attempts to get students to take more challenging courses.  There will be multiple Val's and Sal's should there be ties.  Standard procedure of carrying out to two decimal places (e.g. 3.85) will be followed.

We are using weighted GPA for Honor Grads per district policy.

NEW CLASSROOM BUILDING -  Work on the new classroom building has be stopped of the last couple of weeks. The good news is  the school board approved an additional floor and work has started back. The additional floor will include more classrooms and two new science labs.  The planned completion date for the three story classroom building  is December 15, 2005.
